DD .. AMS is in the advanced stages of Backwards Analysis Disease or BAD. The acronym comes from the types of decisions made by those afflicted with the disease as well as those that listen to them.

As you know, the correct way to do analysis is to gather as many facts as you can and then analyze them to reach a conclusion. However, those afflicted with BAD start with the conclusion and then go in search of facts to support it. If in the process they are confronted with facts that don't support their conclusion they ignore them. In the most severe cases victims of the disease have even been known to make up facts to bolster their conclusions. One of the most insidious aspects of the disease is that as it progresses those afflicted begin their analysis with negative conclusions with increasing frequency and severity accompanied by a diminished sense of humor that eventually vanishes altogether.

Unfortunately, the Internet has caused BAD to spread rapidly and it is approaching epidemic proportions. There is no known cure for BAD although scientists are hopeful of finding one based on two recent developments. One group of researchers have been able to tie the origins of the disease to animals as with "Mad Cow Disease" and "Bird Flu." In fact, they traced one particularly virulent strain all the way back to Chicken Little. Another encouraging development in the search for a cure is a study of Politicians who as a group have the highest incidence of the disease, not to mention the greatest potential for widespread harm to occur as a result.

Your efforts to help your fellow IHUB member to deal with this disease are very admirable. Based on my experience, I do suggest that you lay in a large supply of Rogaine. A while back I made a concerted effort to help AMS approach analysis with an open mind and ended up tearing out most of my hair in frustration LOL.

Regards,
Danny
