UGH - I hate norton, so it can't be that.

I made the critical error of allowing a roomate to use my computer. He blamed microsoft, I blamed him and threw him out.

I changed my 'wait to kill app timeout' tonight as a crapshoot.
I will prolly have to wait and see if it solves it. Sounds similar to what you are saying.

Like I said, it shuts down correctly 15-20% of the time.
