there may be a way to backtest that. but only by the calendar.

If there is no dip to get in this fall, the almanac guys are going to be telling people really late to get in...

maybe I am overplaying this, but I do think there are a lot of people that play "the usual late fall rally" that are waiting for a dip to get long
