I understand that in clinical trials the sponsor pays the costs, so the leukapheresis would be their responsibility and probably is done right at the trial site, but I don't know that to be the case. If in compassionate use the money they collect includes the leukapheresis cost, they still should do fine with it, but I don't know that it's a fact.

It will probably be cheaper to the company to have people come to their facility in London, but I doubt that they'd impose that requirement on patients, nor do I believe that NICE would insist on it. London may be easy to travel too throughout Europe, but clearly it would add expense and inconvenience to people who already are ill, I don't think it's something that would be imposed. Certainly if people can't get it done in a reasonable time near where they're living, London with a fixed appointment date is a good alternative to offer.
