Hi Toof,
Re: "....Is there a simple way to tweak the AIM formular to do the delayed trades and avoid residual trade recommendations?....."

Anything we do to Mr. L's original algorithm makes life a bit more complicated. I guess the pain needs to be less than the expected gain to be worthwhile!

We don't want to defeat AIM's proportional calculations. I've troubled over this and "minimum trades" for years. My M.O. is to set GTC Limit orders for minimum sized trades in both directions. That helps to ensure I don't miss some opportunities. However, it also means I get only a minimum size order filled if the price target is exceeded by market action. That's when AIM's proportional order sizing can really help. I think using T.A. crossovers might help nicely in long trends. I guess I could still use minimum order sizes for the first trade that reverses market direction. Then, adding on some crossover tactic to extend the rise or drop before execution of an order far larger than the minimum could be an improvement. One would still get the first reverse trade (minimum size) but then would have AIM's proportional order sizing for a trend follow-up trade. That might help improve over what I currently do.

Best wishes,
OAG tom
