Yes picking a security and managing it are two separate things.

TA can be used to pick an initial entry point especially if you want to buy something when it is already dropping. Maybe you do your first buy on some moving average crossover as it turns up ?

TA can also be used to delay AIM directed trades so you do bigger trades at the top and bottom instead of a bunch of small trades along the way. That would allow you to sell at a higher average price and buy at an average lower price. That is what I was referring to in my post though I haven't done it myself.

PS : Is there a simple way to tweak the AIM formular to do the delayed trades and avoid residual trade reccomendations ? I can do it by trial and error but that is a pain.
