I’m looking forward to what full discovery brings to the table. May be no connections or maybe just potentially distanced ones. Ken has a big stake in Merck and I’d like to think Merck is friendly with NWBO considering the link with Dr Duffy and the change from BMY to Merck with the combo study but when it comes to money lots of things can happen. Strange that there has been no followup talk along those lines after all these years.
NWBO pointing to a key component of Direct being limited for a significant amount of time during a time when Direct trial start was being talked about as expected then never happened is also troubling when considering Merck’s overall market share of that component and apparent slow walking of expansion plans to more readily meet that demand.
I may be reading too much into things I see happening but I would rather see this looked into than dismissed outright. Some big pharmas have a checkered history with regard to their actions and we should all know by now that big pharma strategy often focuses on picking up the scraps after companies develop good products but don’t have the finances or wherewithal to go the distance and end up loosing control of their work due to need to accept poor partnership terms or enter bankruptcy. History matters. Best wishes.
