I have not dug into how these guys have calculated this figure, but this website that is dedicated to tracking naked short positions claims that the total short position against NWBO is 1.49 Billion shares or 109% of the float. 4% legitimate short and 104% naked short… Which, if true would help explain more than a lot! https://ezpztrading.com/market-data/stocks/short-interest/?symbol=NWBO
It’s the first time I’ve seen a published figure anywhere instead of just speculation. Need to research how they have derived the number but I found it very interesting nonetheless!
