Fire Rescue Crews Extinguish Tesla Fire on Braddock Road

Loudoun County Fire and Rescue responded to a Tesla crash that led to an hours-long hazardous materials response late Friday.

LCFR responded to a single-vehicle crash on Braddock Road near Aldie around 8:45 p.m. Feb. 20. Emergency crews found a Tesla off the road and on fire. Four occupants were transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries described as minor.

Little detail on this "accident". No mention of the Tesla hitting anything. Only thing disclosed is a Tesla essentially veered off the road and basically spontaneously combusted whereever it stopped. I would think the Tesla hit a tree or something as the area doesnt have much else and there was no mention of a house being hit. Then again as all injuries are minor, maybe it just veered into a field and just combusted. Nice of the Tesla to get off the road but oneday this sort of thing will kick off a large fire.
Another Tesla recently experienced something akin to this but it accelerated, veered off the road, and came to rest in someones yard where it caught on fire. No mention of it hitting anything to cause that.

Officials with the Corpus Christi Police Department said the crash happened around 3:30 a.m. The woman driving the Tesla lost control of her speed and was unable to stay in her lane, while heading toward Ocean Drive, causing the vehicle to erupt in flames. She was cited at the scene and was not injured, police said.

I'm begging all of you to NEVER get in a Tesla as long as you live. It started accelerating on its own in a parking garage and my dad lost all control of the car and we ran into a wall at 40 mph. Most horrifying experience of my life.
