Quick addition to my previous post here - specifically the part about Advent's cryo-storage service offering. I found this today. Thought it would interest people:
As I said before, with the correct cryo-logistics partner, Advent certainly have the ability to save NHS hospitals from purchasing their own cryo-storage freezers at all (at least to begin with while patient numbers are relatively small), which for many cash-strapped NHS Trusts would probably be very welcome. Unlike Advent's forthcoming London Apheresis clinic which seems to need HTA, CQC and JACIE certification to be able to service NHS clients, it seems that in the case of cryo-storage services JACIE would not be necessary. Therefore, with HTA and MIA already certified, Advent is ready to go to offer this as a service to the NHS right now.
