Beartrap, i seem to remember there was talk a while back of partnering with one or more private clinics to provide Apheresis centres. I remember a Harley Street clinic being mentioned at the time which means it is the top of the top high-end (and expensive) private doctors in the UK (incidentally Prof Ashkan's private clinic when he is not working at KCL is on Harley St). Therefore, those private clinics previously discussed would likely be for paying customers. So this new Advent satellite setup looks like it would be setup more specifically to service the NHS.

NHS apheresis capacity is a significant bottleneck in the UK and so seeing NWBO get out ahead of this with both private partner clinics and their own in-house clinic is great news IMO!

With a combination of the cryo storage facilities that Advent can offer the NHS patient tumour & vaccine storage, and now this Apheresis Clinic, it seems NWBO is setting up a turnkey solution for the NHS to funnel patients through as seamlessly as possible.

With a trustworthy cryo-logistics partner (to transport fresh tumour tissue from operating theatre to Sawston) NWBO might just be able to save the NHS from having to purchase any freezers at all (at least for the time being).

It goes without saying another Job Description and JD post timing which shouts we are very close indeed!
