In the market in general, InP will remain a powerful incumbent, minimizing opportunities for all new materials. There just is not much discussion about polymers in any meaningful way in the optics industry for datacom use from the perspective of transceiver suppliers, all the way up to the largest users, including as the hyperscalers. Fairly or unfairly, there needs to develop a comfort level that does not exist today. That might change in the future, especially as a result of the new leadership at Lightwave Logic. One aspect that does not help is the lack of intimacy with the market dynamics by people in the mob following the firm, on both sides of the argument, that result in unnecessarily constraining the firm.
