Monk; Why? Because stocks I've experienced usually have gone down even more after the RS actually happens. So for example; Amarin closed at .40 cents today. So at 20x we should see $8? Not in all cases, but let's just rip the bandaid off when the time comes. I think if you're a savvy investor you're waiting with dry powder for that event. Buying now doesn't make sense to me (IMHO). So, you bought at .36 cents today? It's like this; you wait for the blade to drop fully, then buy-in. Theoretically how low can the stock price go? You wait for the news, you sell on rumors.
