I would take that statement with a grain of salt. They're asking for support of their future cancer plan. That can explain the choice of words. While DCVAX moves the needle slightly, I don't believe it's anywhere good enough to be touted as anywhere close to a cure. There's not much of a difference between no progress and little progress for politicians who have a career of puffery.
