Because this is how these cases drag on for years and years. Constant delays and extensions.

As it is, Discovery isn't even scheduled to be complete until the end of 2025. Which I am sure will get delayed to 2026. Then pre-trial motions will be used to delay the trial, which will likely happen (which isn't even scheduled until September 2026).

We won't even know an outcome until 2027 at the earliest. And then after that, there will be appeals, which will then extend into 2028 and likely beyond.

Point is, it's almost silly to focus on this court case right now, because a million things will happen between now and 2028 or 2029 or whenever we get a final verdict, post-appeal.

And there is no way Hikma settles. They are just going to stretch this out as long as they can. Amarin will be sold long before a final, post-appeal decision comes down.
