Read his later post where he left it open ended that company will explain when time is right . 
So why don't you explain what you understood . I know of no rule or law where company can't inform investors the reason for halt a decade later, and years after the trial has been over and data locked , when it can't affect the integrity of the trial. You obviously found the answer very satisfactory if you are a blind follower or apologist . But for rest of rational thinkers it was deflection at the best and not a satisfactory answer .
