TICE BCG, pre-Merck decade long induced shortage is what NWBO did their phase 1 study on. To conduct another study on an unapproved drug not manufactured in the United States is starting over. NWBO now believes they will have the funding to start over by January 2025 in the UK. Will they use the Japanese strain? Or perhaps the Danish (UK approved) version? Or perhaps that will not require BCG if an alternative was found. Whatever it is, they are doing engineering runs on it.

And it figures you’d laugh at cancer patients not receiving TICE BCG because of Merck’s shortage, and further figures you’d expect some small company to take it for their trial and leave more shortages, and figures you’d expect NWBO start another trial to count on Merck coming through on fixing the shortage when they have been delaying for a decade.
