The Mm's can, will and have mis coded short sales as long sales in order to avoid showing FTDs. Citadel was caught doing this several times and said it was a coding error and fined. The last time there were fined only $7M after getting caught doing this for several years (How does this go undetected for years- coding error = BS!!)) and miscoded millions of orders and billions of shares....Google it...Wes talked about this in one of his videos.
