The recent December shareholder letter mentioned more reliability testing. After that, I theorized that the end user must be requesting data from multiple foundry runs. Makes sense to me.

I basically got confirmation of that Sunday night at the panel. Lebby mentioned they have been building a statistical model for devices being produced.

The billion dollar question is…when is enough, enough?

Are you saying that the "multiple foundry runs" which you believe the Tier one buyer is interested in seeing, is also part and parcel with the final end product where "Lebby mentioned they have been building a statistical model for devices being produced".

Question 1: Any idea how much time is needed for just ONE foundry run, followed by wafer cuts into chips for the device maker to manufacturer into the final transceiver end product, and then tested/evaluated by Lightwave/potential buyer?

Question 2: Any idea how far Lightwave may be through this process? As in when did it begin? How far are we "into the necessary runs to satisfy the large buyer"? Just trying to understand if this is a another month, or even another 3+ months time to reach that point? And if this is such an important innovative product and savior of existing Data Centers so they can double or triple their transmission speed (at much lower power) to prolong the life of the Data Center, they should be motivated and willing to front a premium to a Foundry to make these runs. The Foundry will benefit hugely too, as a first to move (make the quality wafers) imo. And the new Hyperscale Data Centers are well.

Thanks!
