During the interview (and I didn't go back to confirm the language) they dropped in the term Delta function in their chat, saying it would be higher and wider (I assume referring to total patients). It's been quite a few years since my last statistics class, but the discussion did give me comfort in that initial earnings may be less choppy and more easily predicted/projected once we see some numbers from Q1's report.

Additionally, each new treatment center coming on line has its own bolus (reason for a wider wave), and they did state that each center will likely only have a short learning curve thereby adding to a quicker ramp then some may expect (leading to a higher wave). I think it therefore follows that the initial earnings curve would be prolonged (wider) and earnings may be easier to project/predict on a quarterly basis which hopefully will benefit our analysts as they update projections for the coming 1-2 years.

This may have missed some of their point about the delta function, but hopefully I captured some of the intent.

As to the share price, I accept that the hot money has departed and we will likely float with the overall market and the sector funds for the short term with the potential for some price softening (and manipulation if you will). I won't be surprised if we get a nice run into the Q1 earnings, but I'm less concerned about trying to find the bottom as knowing what the future potential is, and right now, that does look fantastic. It's nice to save a few bucks, but whether you pay $12, $15 or even $18, if a double in 12-18 months is possible, the initial regret of timing the market does go away (a bit).

I, too, think many will be taken by surprise when Q1 and guidance hits the wire. For us, it will be a good surprise based on all of the innuendo and comments coming out of these chats. For me, it's the guidance offered with Q1's numbers, and the Q2 and beyond earnings that will drive this bus.

IMHO
