Note that short interest was bumped up from 12/15 to 12/30 to take the stock below $5. Short count continues to rise while the number of shares traded continues to decline. In the summer of 2022 short interest was at 20 million for three reporting periods, then they were able to cover about two million. Short interest went back to the $19-20 million range for the EOY dump and has remained there for six reporting periods.
