Recent US retail inventory...
I have mentioned it before, and am not sure if what I am seeing is representative of other places... but my local retail outlets have done a 180, flipping from almost exclusive AMD outlets to almost all INTC systems. The shelves were emptied for the vista roll-out, and replaced with almost all Intel boxes. I was astounded by the transition. It is not just Core duo either, but resurgence of celeron, Pentium, and Pentium -D as well... but certainly at very low price points for these products.

Given this sudden and radical change, AMD must be in a world of hurt on inventory...
