That ain't all. I was just in Japan when they had the Vista rollout. I visited a LARGE retailer in Osaka, 6000sf? of electronics (I counted 14 tables, double sided, 30' long of only notebooks; DTs and servers were elsewhere) and observed that of all the notebooks, there were three AMD notebooks.

I think that Pentium 4s and Ds are still the corporate desktop
of choice. Hard to justify X midrange X2 and Core 2 for word
processing, email and web browsing.
