Common sense indeed! I would only comment on the use of the term 'fair' which seemed to imply that wddd had been wronged in some way. I have always maintained that it was unfair to have granted the patents in the first place. The problem is rooted in the inability of the patent process to have fully appreciated the technical nature of the requests in the first place. The patents were granted on fairly decent descriptions of how the 'Game' of Worlds worked under the hood. Unfortunately there was nothing actually revolutionary, unique or even innovative in the actual algorithms developed by the then WDDD programmers, they were simply bolt standard and mimicked much of the developments in Computer Science since the early '60s. This may surprise people but that is probably due to the 'Dark Ages' of programming that lasted for decades after the infestation of 'C' first enabled common a garden hackers to run riot. Now in the 21st century most people are unaware of the chaos that was wrought and also have little knowledge of what was common practice in the programming fraternity of old. Quite simply justice demanded that WDDD's case fail for otherwise it would have been as if a newly invented hand flushed crapper was patent-able and that it would then be morally acceptable to conspire to constipate the whole populous unless royalties were to be paid. Sounds ridiculous? then so was the original granting of the patents. As for the current pumping of the stock ... what else would you expect from those behind the scam? It is merely a reflection of how weak this stock is and how, once again, it can be manipulated for to maintain the salary and benefits of those in receipt. One or even two persons can keep the price above a penny for the time required and then it's back to gravy for them.
