If you would got to clinictrials.gov you can see the Novocure Optune clinical trial protocol. It clearly states it is a 5 year trial, here's the endpoints:

"Primary Outcome Measures :
Progression Free Survival (PFS) time [ Time Frame: 5 years ]

Secondary Outcome Measures :
Overall survival (OS) [ Time Frame: 5 years ]"

FDA clearly believes it was 5 years as the trial led to approval with not questions. Only some folks on this board seem to be confused as to the trial duration.

UK only provides it to a narrow band of patients as they are cheap and don't want to pay for it. They have done that with many of the leading oncology drugs.
