Owning their manufacturing process is the equivalent of owning their IP. They can’t easily innovate in a third-party factory. Companies do it, but usually they have a lot more IP, as in cell programming and other technologies that make the plant of manufacturing less problematic. Here they are taking a blood draw and needed to advance the literal processing of blood product in a way that advances the manufacturing of the product and is not easily reproducible, and that also, overtime can be constantly improved to create a greater potential for maintaining their control over their IP and ultimately likely this sort of vaccination process.

So yes, I think it was critical for them to own the factory and when Flaskworks became available to own that technology outright as well just puts a much tighter hold for the company’s autologous dendritic cell vaccine manufacturing processes which they can likely adapt to other kinds of complex cell manufacturing processes and especially to autologous manufacturing processes, something that I believe no one else is really doing very well in an industrialized fashion like this, at this time.

First they need to prove and continue improving the technology, and then later they might go in a buying spree and buy up companies with great ideas for autologous treatments and personalized medical products that simply have no way to get to market because they lack this e override and which therefore would be available to buy out completely at fire sale prices.
