If that's actually the way we've found all the planets we have, it's probably just a tiny fraction of all the planets. Look at out sun, if you're not looking at it from the direction the planets are moving around it you would never see a planet cross it's path. Your conclusion would be our sun has no planets.

I believe you're correct, this is how most planets have been found, but I suspect that as we determine other ways of looking at it, we'll find many more planets.

In the past 25 or so years we've found many planets, we've determined that galaxies have collided in the past, and will continue to do so in the future. I had a basic astronomy class several years ago and found it fascinating, we never discussed looking at the planets and stars, we discussed theories of how they're created, and destroyed.

I certainly can't say if it's possible to go faster than the speed of light, if it is, perhaps beings from elsewhere can reach earth, if not, we're pretty much resigned to staying in our own solar system, we ought to do what we can to keep it habitable.

Much the same is probably true in conquering cancer and other diseases, we need to look at them in different ways. As I see it, our DCVax's constitute a different way of treating cancer, essentially getting our bodies into the fight. By themselves they may not do the job, but with other therapeutics they may be the difference between success and failure.
