It would certainly be chaos, and it might be coming sooner than most people realize. China is about to make its move on Taiwan, and the brandon administration can't stop them, and China knows it. When they "reunify" with Taiwan, they will instantly put a blockade on all semiconductors that the world needs, and the US absolutely must have. Up to 90% of the semiconductors used by US technology companies like Apple, Nvidia, and Qualcomm rely on Taiwanese manufacturing including our military.

Luckily TSMC and the US saw the writing on the wall and starting building fabs/foundries here in the US about 7 months ago. Problem is, they won't be in production until 2024. Imagine China takes Taiwan this year, what the hell are we gonna do without those chips for over 2 years? I think the US could easily survive without most of the cheap Chinese crap that Americans are so addicted to, but we would get completely wrecked without these chips for that long. How would you solve this problem?
