Again ICE vehicles outnumber EVs 10:1. Of course there are going to be more fires. However ICE fires do not just combust like EVs do. Also on a per car registered ratio, which is the only ratio that matters, EVs are 2.5x more likely to catch fire.

However whats particularly interesting is how EVs just combust during solar storms and the presence of surface magnetic fields. Those fields can cause thermal heating of lithium cells (wireless charge individual cells) & abnormal dendrite growth. Both lead to thermal runaway and thus fires.
