I'm sure Grant always expected to take Instadose public at some point via a RM, and raised money at what he thought was a fair valuation for the company, at that particular stage of the company. The initial seed investors got shares at the best price, and it looked to me as though, as the company progressed and grew, the private placement price went up as well....that's generally how it works. I doubt he knew at that point what shell he would use though, it probably was not even considered until the latter part of 2020.
How he found the shell, or why he chose it to RM with, I have absolutely no clue but I'd assume he chose this one for a reason. Would I have picked it, probably not, I like shells with a very high share delivery %(insider ownership), and tiny float. The problem with those is that they are crazy illiquid. MZKR was probably the only new shell, that had never traded, that also has a chance to be liquid quickly....and I guess liquidity was more important to him.....because that's also the most important thing to about 99.9% of other shareholders out there as well....lol.
I have no idea what the final terms of the merger will be, it appears the MZKR shareholders are going to make out pretty well, just as all seed investors in shells do during RMs, that's just the way it goes.
Hopefully, everyone will have a chance to make money, regardless of your trading, or investment style....and what price you got in at, those are the very best stocks. Whether or not this is one of those remains to be seen.
