Daman45 and Welcome2Pinkyland,

I'm sorry if I'm just being dense, but I still don't see why we can't buy shells on the greys or Expert Market....unless they have a caveat emptor. Daman45, are you sure the "no buying" rule will go beyond CE stocks and will include all stocks that aren't current? But either way, the "can't buy" rule is not an SEC rule. That's TD Ameritrade and any other broker that chooses to make that a rule (I happen to use TDA unfortunately). But where there's money to be made, there's a business going to happen in my opinion. 5 years ago we didn't envision Robinhood and commission-free trading. If the big brokerages won't let you buy stocks with a CE...or worse, any stock that isn't current...then I'm sure someone will emerge that lets you buy anything. I mean hell....you can buy options and you can buy ETFs that are "double and triple QQQ or double and triple short QQQ". The risk on those types of ETFs is severe. Sure, we won't get bid/ask quotes on these stocks, but I don't think it shuts down the whole process. Yes, you have to guess how many shares are available and what price you have to pay. I bought SSTY in the last 3 months. I had to guess where to place my buy. And I sold my BLSP after it got suspended/dropped down. Had no idea what someone would pay, but I sold them easily enough.

If this is just a question of brokerages saying no....and not the SEC....then I think we'll be able to buy even CE stocks sooner than later. Someone, somewhere will allow it. And they'll get all the otc traders like us coming over from our current places like TDA, E Trade, etc. The demand is just too great, and there's money to be made for a lot of people. A new "Robinhood for penny stocks" that allows buying of stocks in all conditions and on all "exchanges" has to be coming soon. But even if I'm wrong about that, I think it's going to be ok unless you really can't buy stocks that are no info/minutes info.
