I know. Frying is problematic. Have you considered getting an air fryer? People seem to like them, though I'm not sure they work for things like tempura.

BACON??? You don't have to FRY bacon. Have you NOT BEEN LISTENING? You can BAKE bacon. It's very easy. All you need is a sheet pan. And, if you want, a metal baking rack for it. This is an INSANELY good deal:

Line the pan with heavy duty aluminum foil, overlapping the sides. Put the rack on top. Arrange the amount of bacon you want to cook on the rack. (If you're having guests, and need more, use two pans.)

Put the pan(s) in a cold oven. Turn it on to 410 degrees. Keep an eye on it, and remove when it's done to your satisfaction. Loosen the bacon from the rack, and transfer to a paper-towel lined plate. Or whatever you'd use for any bacon you make.

Let the sheet pan cool until the bacon fat congeals. Then crumple up the foil and throw it away. Wash the rack.

Naturally if you want to save the fat for cooking, pour it into a jar before it's entirely cooled, and keep in the fridge.
