re: IMO, K8L will be fabulous. It has to be, and I'm sure it has the entire company putting every resource available to make it a success. But let's face the facts. It wasn't exactly up to spec in December, so it's probably not going to be shipping any time soon. As I have stated before, I think there is a good chance that AMD will have it out in Q3 (enough to claim a mid-year launch), and yet still a reasonable chance that it slips to Q4 as well.

There will be lots of fanfare. Intel has seen this train-a-comin' and would be reticent not to provide an answer in advance of its arrival. I am fully expecting Intel to make this as much of a non-affair as possible.
