It better be good if AMD wants a shot at the performance desktop or notebook market. I will consider K8L for a notebook replacement late this year (unless I lose my current notebook to a family member permanently - which could happen).
I'll do some benchmarks when the 5600+ arrives and provide my general impressions of the machine compared to the E6600.
I read a thread on a forum where people were considering the E6700 to the 5600+ though noone actually had a 5600+. I think that a better comparison would be the E6600 to the 5600+. The E6600 has an edge on benchmarks but I'd like to see how the machine feels in day-to-day use and on some of my heavy workloads.
