Well, kind of. Where I live the electricity is hydro - which has its own drawbacks, specifically if you’re a salmon. Some electricity is solar or wind. Some nuclear. Some coal.

A tiny electric car (like the single seater made by electromechanica (solo) is undeniably better for the environment than a Ford Aerostar carrying the same single passenger around the city.
