I got a new email address because I forgot the passwords due to the isolation caused by the pandemic.

Ray puts out a daily email. I subscribed to it but apparently I have done something wrong again. I will try again.

The amount of information has grown to such a degree that no human is capable of effectively or efficiently processing it.

I viewed some videos about Bletchley Park (I've probably misspelled it) and the project to break the German war machine's Enigma Code.

At its height, the project actually employed 10,000 people. Apparently all that human endeavor was inputted into the world's first digital computer to achieve the objective of deciphing the code.

Was it the first computer hack job?

Earlier in the war the Naval intelligence geeks broke the Japanese code that enabled Admiral Nimitz to know the Japanese navy wanted to attack and capture Midway Island.

Maybe that was the first computer hack job.

Maybe the first coded information hack job occurred thousands of years ago.

When Picasso was invited to tour the Lascaux Cave in France to view those ancient drawings on the wall, he said this: "We've learned nothing."

Artists, of course, sometimes have a peculiar way of viewing things.

Maybe what he meant was, humanity, as much as it attempts to be better itself in the way it wants to avert the suffering of as many members of its living participants as possible, still falls short of the mark.

A question comes to mind...

In the next 10 years, will there be 20,000 stocks trading on Cromwell Coulson's stock market versus the 10,000, for the sake of round numbers, currently trading?
