Update analysis of genericV. I have public replied to my previous post that contained analysis of Vascepa.

The pills weigh 1.45 grams all three pills were very close.

Hear is the really strange thing contents weighs 1 gram same as Vascepa.

The capsule weighs 0.45 grams.

The capsule difference is very noticeable the genericV capsule is more flimsy and softer to squeeze than the Vascepa capsule which is much more firm. Which makes sense as the Vascepa capsule weighs 0.05 grams more.

Raf the freezer test after 4 days shows no difference. Also contents of both pills remained liquid. Smell test below was the same result.

Now for the smell test: (This is a big difference.)

Vascepa has almost no smell there is an ever so slight whiff but extremely minor. Taste and texture a light oil with a pleasant taste. No fish.

genericV really smells just like an off the shelf omega-3 fishy. I bought a bottle of "Spring Valley Omega-3 Fish Oil Softgels, 500 mg, 60 Count" to compare it to at Walmart. To me they both smell about the same level of fishy. If I rated it a 1 to 10 I would give it a 6. Taste and texture a light oil that really tastes like a strong fish. Takes a bit to get the taste out of your mouth.

One final note I was able to get my doc to change my script and got my Vascepa as desired.

I hope this helps.
