S'OK, I'll be going to that Hunnert Mile city whilst I'm ~OUTT here to pick up MY bread and pastries to take back to Cali. Towards the end of my stay I drive there and hitt the Euro bakery and a cuppla other places to stock up on food, spices, ingredients, etc. to haul back to Cali wiff me. I have a place there witch does great smoked whitefish and sable - NYC/Chicago-quality smoked sable. Expensive butt very, very gut.
And of course I bring back items on the list DaSquaw gives me so they don't need to make that hunnert mile trip for another 2 munffs.
I have limited 'sperients in Filly, butt if you haven't bought smoked sable from a local Jewish deli, find some place that sells it. Or take the train to NYC and gett some. Life is too short to be lived without smoked sable.
Now that I think of it, that's another thing this burg could use - a good Jewish deli. There is only a single synagogue in the city and it's nott very big, so I suspect there is just nott enough of a Jewish presence here to support a decent deli and kosher foods ~OUTTlet. Too bad. That would be a very nice add. This ville does have one decent bagel shoppe though - just since lassed year. Butt it jussed does bagels and the like (bialys, cookies, pretzel sticks).
Gett thee to some smoked sable though. Filly must have some NYC-level delis.
