One thing is for sure, beyond a reasonable doubt, is that Missling and Hampel have been tethered to each other since Hampel appointment at Eisai. The Saturday night tweet proves that to be true because there is data driving that communication, which we just don't know what data that is exactly. It's his study which for all intent and purposes is being peer reviewed, at least that is the impression I get by the way he speaks of 273 and the findings of the study.
So Eisai gives him title "VP Global Medical Affairs" but that same person is still connected to Anavex. The really speculative part of my brain is thinking Eisai has been courting Anavex, and Hampels hire is part of that whole mechanism that Eisai is using to eventually run the programs.
Hampel is precision Medicine and Anavex is precision medicine, so why hasn't this happened already boggles my mind.
To your question, I think Missling and Hampel work well together so it seems so natural for Eisai to connect with Anavex now. It's like a quarterback being reunited with his star receiver after being separated.
I don't think Eisai hired Hampel to object to his desire to potentially partner with Anavex, which is why I think it happens!
