The usgs has come out and said that an area, south of LA, and is huge, is, in their words, subsiding, or sinking fast, due to everything being sucked out below it.
Also in CA, they just realized that they have been drilling into, and sucking steam to turn turbines, off the top of a new found supervolcano. Didn't know it was one when they drilled. Might be long valley, I forget as I am on other side of country and don't keep up with cali too much.
If you use google earth you can see drill points, gas/steam/oil lines all over cali and beyond. I would guess 10,000 min. in tx, ok, co, they are everywhere, mile after mile, county after county, small dirt patches with rigs on them, some just for fracking, or injection of waste water after shale is broken up. You will not believe it.
you like you tube, might want to check out Dutchsinse, now moved to twitch. Must watch many of his vid to give him chance, he has been smeared ever way you can imagine. He is talking out against big oil and gas, years now, which he says he likes and realizes we need, and against established dogma of what is being taught in schools on geology, and the near BILLION dollar PHd's out there, they don't like it one bit, think he is nuts, but watch how many times he is correct in his forcasting, it is all right there is his videos. He has a nasdaq story out, if you search his name and nasdaq it should come up first, where he talks about having to go to you tube 6 TIMES to try and get acct reinstated. his haters would abject to every video, for years, and you tube would take them down, then put them back up, jsut cause he is against mainstream teachings. It is really something, he has large hate groups after him, NZ people and the pnsn, pacific northwest sesmic network and their tax dollars. but even now they are starting to see the light that earthquakes can be forecast and several other things they used to attack him on. On his chat, the folks there call it the USBS, cause they knock sooooo many quakes down after the fact, even a 5.9 club, for the hundreds of times they have taken a 6.0 to 6.5 down to 5.9 for no reason, and often interior quakes below 4 so the oil and gas co. don't get fined more. 4.0,-4.5 getting marked later as, you guessed it, 3.9.
