Collection / scrub time required.
OK, so in the past it has taken several months to tidy up the data base. But what about today?
Supposedly the dataset was brought current late spring/summer. If so, the only new data is:
. Telephone calls with alive/dead status
. Full follow up for up to 6 months on a dozen or so patients.
The first should take no time (unless being done by Fl. election officials).
The second? It is a tiny fraction of previous data.
In short, a scrub started today should not take the several months that it would have 2 years ago. I would think weeks.
And further, going forward the final non-telephone data should be scrubbed now regardless of if the trial is unblinded. Thus, in the future they should be able to have top line results in days from a decision to cut.
