One task I do when an OTC company files a 10Q is first look at the revenue for the quarter and compare it to the expenses. The difference can be anywhere from $10 of expenses for a dollar of revenue. Sometimes these companies will report no revenue quarter and after quarter yet report tremendous sums of expenses, which, to make it simple, is nothing more than other people's money.
The Nasdaq's third tier, the AMEX can be just as bad, and last but not least, the OTC, it seems, are financial venues that reward failure.
