And just FYI, I never tried to tie the solvent properties of water with the volatility of water.

One last point you made that needs clarification:

That is only partially true. Only when Water is at or approaching its boiling point, could you actually consider it to be “highly volatile”
Volatility of a compound is proportional to the temperature and pressure!
At room temperature or less at 1atm of pressure, water is minimally volatile vs say benzene or gasoline.
