I've often said that IHUBers despise Buffett for eloquently demonstrating that silly charts, penny stocks, hunch flipping, risky shorting, chasing fads and hot tips don't lead to market success. Buffett mostly buys and holds blue chips available to anyone.

You haven't mentioned Buffett's secret sauce, the free leverage he gets from his insurance holdings, going back to his acquisition of GEICO starting in 1951. He now owns 11 insurance firms.

In a nutshell, Buffett invests about 180 degrees opposite of the average IHUB Hail Mary pass thrower.
