What I've always wondered about Buffett was how much money he inherited

Daddy kicked in part of the initial $100K, along with other family members. Believe daddy also helped introduce him to the first partners. By the time daddy died, Warren was already worth more than daddy. Inheritance only played a factor per the initial family funding. Very little after that.

Teleport Buffet from 1957 to 2010+, give him $1M, and I doubt if he could come close to replicating his success. The economy is different. The damn HFTs can make various value stocks with high beta a playground. Or teleport Buffett into 2007 with his initial $1M. Chances are he would've scrambled out of any long holds as the market melted down in 2008. Instead he had billions in cash, and cleaned up at the expense of GS- how sad. LOL
