revlis: The point of my post was not that I was defending or agreeing with everything Corp states, in fact I have often pointed out mistatements in his postings; but that I considered that Danny's statement regarding Corp's "agenda" can also be considered FUD. As described by Wikipedia (below) FUD is an appeal to fear. Rather than arguing against the points brought up by Corp, and there are always arguments on both sides of an issue, he raises the fear issue of a takeover at a cheap price . IMO by bringing up this so called "agenda", he is in effect, stating that you should disregard everything that Corp has to say.


"Fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) is a sales or marketing strategy of disseminating negative (and vague) information on a competitor's product. The term originated to describe misinformation tactics in the computer hardware industry and has since been used more broadly. FUD is a manifestation of the appeal to fear."
