Eric Van Nguyen and his stock promotion story, and its connection to the Montreal Mob, may be profiled in this week's episode of The Fifth Estate on CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation). The Fifth Estate is CBC's investigative news magazine, somewhat akin to 60 Minutes in the US. So far, the CBC has only run the promo for the story, entitled "Dan and Carol Get Busted", during last week's episode. That makes it difficult to know exactly who and what will be covered, and what tack the story will take, but it appears they will be exploring why certain individuals were arrested and charged and others went free. The show runs Friday Nights at 9, but if you are not in Canada or close enough to the Border to get the show directly, it should be available on their website at http://www.cbc.ca/fifth and on their YouTube channel. I don't know if the story will provide any additional information from what we already know, but it should be worth checking out to see what they have uncovered.
