Yes, I agree that if the core of the "HUB" were trusted and secured, then any usb device plugged into it would be protected and safe also.
Since the USB is on the motherboard, I think it would make more sense to secure it there , thus making any USB port to plug in a USB device trusted and secure, including, for example, the four port USB hub I happen to use, plugged into one of the two usb ports I have.

I think the confusing word in all this is "HUB". What does that mean precisely. I would like to believe that perhaps it is an external "HUB", thus possibly creating greater importance on an E-2100 chip or a variation thereof, which means additional revenues for Wave.

I wish I knew the real answer, but alas, we are swinging a bat blindfolded at a pinata and hitting air most of the time!
Keep the idea generator primed though. Maybe between Doma, you, AWK, and some others, we might get it figured out!
