I agree.
I think looking at history is important so we don't have to re-learn the same lessons over and over again. Just like in business, you look at works well and do more of it... look at what isn't working and figure out how to fix it.
We have to look at history, analyze it so we don't make the same mistakes. But, my point was more along the lines of not assigning blame per se, yet seeing what happened and correcting it. I had a thought this morning for a board that I thought would be interesting. It would be to create a board comprised of individuals who feel strongly about politics as well as the policies of this country. The board would set up the different divisions of government etc... Would follow whats going on in our existing government and see how they would make decisions and policies given the same information. ( Albeit, we could probably only act upon what was in the media and our government has more access to information than we do. ) But, I thought it would be interesting. Of course, it would take a lot of people and quite a bit of time.
