Around 1979, after drinking a few beers with a Medtronic engineer at a rowdy party in a Minneapolis bar and listening to his enthusiastic story, I put almost every penny I had (which were few at the time!) into their stock.
It has helped provide my family with a comfortable lifestyle. I'll probably never sell, as much for sentimental reasons as financial.
